This Privacy Policy explains how scrubr ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use scrubr.io ("the Service"). By using the Service you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.

1. Information we collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide the Service:

• Email address — collected when you create an account, used to identify your account and send notifications if you opt in
• Audio files — uploaded by you for processing, stored temporarily and deleted after processing is complete or after a short retention window
• Usage data — basic information such as number of files processed, used only to display stats in your dashboard

2. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and operate the Service
• Send you email notifications about your processed files if you have enabled notifications
• Send you product updates and release announcements if you opted in at signup
• Monitor and improve the performance and reliability of the Service

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating scrubr.

3. We do not sell your data

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information or audio files with any third party for commercial purposes, ever.

4. File storage and retention

Audio files you upload are stored temporarily on Cloudflare R2 cloud storage. Both the original uploaded file and the processed output file are stored only for the purpose of delivering the processed file back to you.

You can delete your files at any time from the My Files section of the app. We reserve the right to delete stored files periodically to manage storage costs.

5. Third-party services

scrubr uses the following third-party services to operate:

• Supabase — authentication and database hosting
• Cloudflare R2 — file storage
• Railway — backend hosting
• Netlify — frontend hosting
• Stripe — optional donation processing

Each of these services has their own privacy policy governing how they handle data.

6. Google OAuth

If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your email address from Google solely for the purpose of creating and identifying your scrubr account. We do not access any other Google account data.

7. Cookies

scrubr uses only essential session cookies required to keep you logged in. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or any third-party analytics.

8. Your rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request deletion of your account and all associated data
• Opt out of marketing emails at any time via the Settings page

9. Data security

We use industry-standard security practices to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and secure cloud infrastructure. However no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects when it was last updated. Continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
